An Amplifier of Women

NAWIC’s core purpose is to strengthen and amplify the success of women in the construction industry. As a chapter, we facilitate the NAWIC core purpose by providing local women in construction with opportunities to learn, network, and lead.

An Industry Partner

Our chapter has refined our alignment with the industry to help build construction leaders, provide support for recruitment and retainment, connect companies with small women owned businesses, and create opportunities for industry leadership and recognition.

NAWIC is committed to championing women to impact the direction of the construction industry. As a chapter, we provide women with invaluable opportunities to learn from industry experts, develop key skills, and gain leadership experience. We also recognize that there are barriers preventing women from accessing these opportunities.

Our Chapter’s focus in 2024 targets the barriers women in our industry face by taking action in the following areas:

1

GROWING

Growing the value and breadth of our Chapter’s network by:

  • Building relationships with the industry to encourage support for new membership.

  • Creating opportunities for more involvement from participating companies and industry partners.

2

CREATING

Creating opportunities for more accessible participation from members by:

  • Developing a mentorship program to engage with new members.

  • Adopting a Hybrid Model for chapter meetings and rotating chapter meeting schedule.

3

ENGAGING

Engaging our members and community with high-caliber events:

  • Educational meetings focused on leadership and industry-specific skill development.

  • Activities and volunteer work designed to benefit our industry and communities.
