
Block Kids Competition
The Block Kids Building Competition is a national building competition that is sponsored on the local level by NAWIC chapters and other organizations. The award-winning program introduces children grades K-6th to the construction industry to create awareness and promote careers in the industry.

Frequency: Occurs once a year usually between January and February, planning starts in October.

Brief description of responsibilities:

School selection, assembly date, event date.

Prepare block kits and SWAG bags for day of event. Including finding donations.

Prepare and present an assembly to introduce program to kids.

Gather and track student release forms.

Day of event: volunteers, judges, set up/take down, food, bags, place mats, hardhats, supplies.

Ensure criteria is met, photos and forms are submitted to Region.

Thank you cards to the judges.
