Casie Coggins

Process Manager at KIER Construction

2023-2024 Women in Construction

Champion Award Recipient

Casie has been with KIER Construction for over 6 years, and has mentored many women during her time there. Some of the things said about Casie are:

"She is patient, and humble, and loving in her approach to teaching, training, and mentorship. She has always gone above and beyond what is asked of her."

"She has built teams that have fiercely dominated in their respective roles, while protecting each other, keeping accountability, and relying on each other's strengths to lift each individual and team alike. Her ability to see and foster unique talents in her teams leads to team members that believe in themselves in a way that propels them to heights they did not believe achievable."

"She has been, and always will be, our biggest cheerleader. Her desire to advance the narrative surrounding women in construction has led to measurable impacts, within her company and the community, as she believes we all have a seat at the table, and is the first one to pull out the chair. She continues to push me to be better, to become more, and to keep growing in my professional and personal goals."

"I have known Casie for years now. During that time, she has acted as a second mother, as a friend, and certainly as a mentor. In the last year, Casie has been the one to help me fall in love with the construction industry. She has been the one who has encouraged me to take the next steps in advancing my construction management career. I have looked to her on countless occasions whether it’s for advice in my personal life or if I’m searching for answers within my profession. I would describe Casie as driven, a problem-solver, and some may even say “the knower of all”. I have watched her grow as professional and as a mentor for the last several years. Never once have I ever seen her grow impatient or remotely consider giving up. She is always looking for new ways to grow as a person and new ways to improve her teams. Casie once said, “All my ladies have gone on to do bigger and better things, and that makes me so proud.” Personally, I believe that it was the person who trained them that deserves part of that credit.”

- Aubry O’Neil (current team member)

"I cannot thank her enough for being such a wonderful mentor to me. Casie is the most deserving person of this award by far! She inspires others, happily mentors everyone, and puts her whole self into whatever it is that she’s doing. Casie is resilient and strong willed, yet eager to compromise through team collaboration. Casie’s guidance and support have been instrumental in helping me achieve so much personal and professional growth. Because of her leadership and her exceptional abilities to make people believe in themselves, I am now far beyond excelling in my construction career!

Casie, I want you to know that I proudly carry what you have taught me throughout my career, and in my daily life, too."

- Veda Eggleston (former team member)
